ZenPen is a free, minimalist online writing tool designed to help you block out distractions and focus purely on writing. As soon as the page loads, just delete the placeholder text and begin typing. The left-side toolbar lets you toggle full-screen, invert light/dark mode, set a word-count target with a progress indicator, and export your work as Markdown, HTML, or plain text. Basic formatting such as bold, italics, blockquotes, and links appear via an inline toolbar when text is highlighted. Everything you write is saved locally via HTML5 storage - no accounts, no distractions, just writing.
