
Radio Garden

Radio Garden is a nonprofit Dutch digital research project created by the Netherlands Institute for Sound and Vision and launched in December 2016. It features a rotatable 3D globe interface dotted with green markers that represent cities - click one to stream live radio from that location, from music and news to community broadcasts. The platform includes mobile apps and a search feature added in 2019. It has grown significantly, now hosting over 40,000 stations globally. Local streaming is handled via MP3, Ogg, or AAC formats in-browser, offering an immersive cultural experience.
